Re:File - Replace within files

Find and replace several terms in up 10 files or documents (supported: .docx, .xlsx, .pptx, .odt, .ods, .odp, .txt, .xml) with total size up to 10 MB. It is easy with Re:File.

1. Choose files

Choose - try [Ctrl] while clicking with the mouse - the files in which you want to replace. Besides the supported formats you can upload ZIP files.

 

2. Determine replace terms

Determine up to 2 search terms and the terms with which they should be replaced.

About this tool

Re:File (Replace within files)

Find and Replace in multiple files can be a complex process. The Re:File online tool makes it easy to replace in documents. Your search term may contain regular expressions (PCRE), for example "[a-z]+" matches phrases with at least one lower-case letter.

For experts: The control character \0 and pseudo control character \1 may not be replaced or inserted and will be deleted from the documents. That does not have any effects on normal documents.

You can replace im the following file formats:

  • Microsoft Office documents (Word .docx, Excel .xslx, Powerpoint .pptx)
  • Open Office/Libre Office documents (Writer .odt, Calc .ods, Impress .odp)
  • Text files (.txt)
  • XML files (.xml)
